Their unique design ensures superior threads whose compound performance cannot be reproduced by any other single fastening thread insert and because of their compact size they can be incorporated info existing designs where no previous provision has been made.
Solid inserts - these inserts are used as sleeves over the orignal spark plug thread once the new thread in the head has been cut.

The solid inserts have an M16x1.25 outer thread, so an M16x1.25 tap is used to tap the hole. The internal thread of the inserts are M14x1.25
